Your college admissions paper can’t be good. It should be incredible.

It can’t be ordinary. It must be amazing.

It can’t be tedious. It must be an attention-grabbing prose.

We straightly asked college admissions officers about 10 things that turn college admissions essay into a good one. This is what they told us:

1. Write about those things that you know. You should write about what is well-known to you than something what you believe an admissions officer would like to see.
2. Don’t make suppositions. Your text has to be aimed at a wide public. Don’t presume that the admissions officers are aged and feeble. Admissions officers differ in age like in many other jobs.
3. Demonstrate your hilarious side. Admissions officers also have a sense of humor thus don’t be shy to demonstrate yours.
4. Be sincere. You shouldn’t create or make up stories to give an impression of exceptional admissions essay. Sincerity is always the greatest strategy. Your paper is the possibility to demonstrate who you actually are, not those “you” which you created for yourself.
5. Use your personal terms. Don’t attempt to make your essay complicated by using a heap of large words, argot, or slang. It will make your essay more difficult and then you won’t understand yourself what you have written.
6. You need to be convinced in your grammar skills. If your grammar is not perfect, then find somebody who can check over your essay.
7. No matter how good your essay is if no one is able to read it. Type or tidily write your paper. Tidiness is important.
8. Follow the instructions. Your essay shouldn’t exceed the maximum number of words and shouldn’t be less than this amount. In addition you have to pay attention that you answer exact question which you were asked.
9. You have always been told that first you need to write rough draft and after that correct and improve it. The same you have to do with your essay.
10. Let somebody else assess your essay. You can hear fresh viewpoint and new suggestions. Constructive remarks have to de accepted if you want to make progress.
